Knauf Insulation introduces new
Friendly Feel™ Duct Wrap
Soft feel, KwikStretch
markings make duct insulation friendly to
installers
(SHELBYVILLE, August 9, 2004) Knauf Insulation today
announced the introduction of its new Friendly Feel Duct Wrap with
KwikStretch markings. The new product is soft to the touch
and includes staple flange markings for easy measurement, adding to
installer efficiency and comfort.
Changes in binder composition and fiberization processes make
Friendly Feel Duct Wrap softer while maintaining the traditional
density and consistency that have made Knauf duct wrap the
recognized industry quality leader. But now, it’s even easier to
handle and install. Friendly Feel Duct Wrap reduces energy
usage, improves HVAC system efficiency and controls exterior duct
sound for rectangular or round sheet metal ducts.
For faster installation and convenience, KwikStretch markings
are applied to the staple flanges of the product’s foil-scrim kraft
(FSK) and polypropylene-scrim kraft (PSK) facings, allowing for
fast, easy and accurate measurement without a tape measure.
“Friendly Feel Duct Wrap provides a new level of comfort and
convenience to installers,” said Mark Smith, Knauf’s Marketing
Manager for Air Handling Products. “Knauf has always been
known for products that are less dusty and easier to install than
the competition – Friendly Feel Duct Wrap takes these qualities to
the next level.”
