Knauf Friendly Feel^™ Duct Wrap

Now Available with Black PSK Facing

(SHELBYVILLE, Ind., October 26, 2004)  Knauf Insulation announced today that its Duct Wrap products are now available with black polypropylene-scrim kraft (PSK) facing.  Knauf Duct Wrap offers black and white PSK, along with foil-scrim kraft (FSK) facings.  Facing color options are important for exposed ceiling and other applications where ductwork is widely visible and aesthetics are an issue.

The availability of black PSK is just the latest Duct Wrap product enhancement.  Knauf Duct Wrap was recently redesigned as a “Friendly Feel” product that is soft to the touch and more comfortable to handle.  It also offers KwikStretch® Markings on staple flanges for easy measurement.  These features, combined with the new color option, make Knauf Duct Wrap the best choice for comfort, convenience and performance.

 

Without appropriate colored facings, contractors often resort to painting standard facings or exposed sheet metal.  This adds significant work to installation, and the process often must be repeated periodically as condensation and wear caused paint to flake or fade.
