(SHELBYVILLE, Ind.,
10/23/2007) Knauf Insulation today announced the introduction
of Jet Stream® 73.3, which continues a tradition as the industry
leader in providing higher coverage, higher performing insulation
products for the building industry. Developed for attic
applications, Jet Stream 73.3 delivers more coverage per bag and
per product than any other fiberglass blowing insulation on the
market. Jet Stream 73.3 will be available in November, 2007.
“The name says it all, there’s 73.3 square
feet of insulation in every bag of R30. This is a real convenience
factor for contractors and installers because they’ll know exactly
how much product is in each bag” said Jeff Goad, Residential
Marketing Manager for Knauf Insulation.
Jet Stream 73.3 Higher Performing Fiber Glass
Blowing Insulation processes more than one bag per minute. This
enhanced speed is complemented with even greater capacity per bag,
requiring fewer bags to insulate an attic and more attics per
truck. Each bag contains two more pounds in the same footprint and
allows for 6.7 percent more pounds per standard 53-foot trailer
than the original Jet Stream product.
In engineering Jet Stream 73.3, Knauf
Insulation sought to retain the popular and convenient
42 bag unitized packaging while delivering increased coverage
capacity per bag. Jet Stream 73.3 retains the same 0.90 load
factor for a 53-foot standard truck. The product blows evenly and
smoothly with even less static than previous versions. A unique
“platinum” identifier on the package ensures that installers will
receive the product they require and homebuyers will enjoy the
performance they deserve.
